All religions preach peace, brotherhood: Indian HC

CHAKWAL: Indian High Commissioner Gautam Bambawale has said that all religions give message of peace, love and brotherhood.
He was addressing a Sufi conference organised by the Archeological Association of Pakistan in connection with Urs of saint Syadan Shah Sherazi at Katas Raj on Sunday. He said that he had come here with a message of more than 1.5 billion people of India that peace was the only solution to end poverty in the region. The Indian HC expressed satisfaction on the renovation of Katas Raj. He hoped that visa restrictions on pilgrims from both the countries would be relaxed in future.
Speaking on the occasion, Ukrainian Ambassador Volodymyr Lakomov said that he was feeling happy to visit the historic and mystic site and it was a false notion that Pakistan was a terrorist state. He said that Ukraine supported Pakistan against the war on terrorism. The conference was also addressed by Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi, Qazi Muhammad Akbar, Zafar Bakhtawari, Sagheer Aslam, Prof Raiz Ahmad, DCO Mehmood Javed Bhatti, DPO Munir Masood Marth, HEC Parliamentary Secretary Mehwish Sultana, Haji Abdul Razzaq and others also spoke. Earlier, the dignitaries were given a rousing welcome on their arrival at Kalar Kahar.
