Boy dies in aerial firing at wedding function

BAHAWALPUR: A 12-year-old boy was killed while his 10-year-old cousin received injuries during aerial firing at a wedding ceremony at Basti Nooro Arain in Samasatta police limits on Saturday night.
The wedding ceremony of Shahzad Arain was under way when his relatives Siddique, gunman of a provincial minister, Imran and Fayyaz allegedly resorted to aerial firing. As a result, Muhammad Jamil was killed on the spot while Faraz was seriously injured. Later, Jamil was laid to rest without autopsy.
When contacted, SHO Ch Sajjad said that how police could register a case if the deceased’s parents were not ready to register an FIR or any other proceedings.
