PO killed in encounter

BAHAWALPUR: A proclaimed offender was killed in an encounter with Chishtian circle police at Chak 126, Murad, on Thursday night.
According to the Bahawalnagar DPO Office spokesman, PO Ilyas Chadhar with his three accomplices was looting the passengers when police on information reached there. Seeing police, the dacoits opened fire on them. Police also retaliated. As a result, Ilyas was killed on the spot while his accomplices escaped.
The killed PO was wanted by Bahawalnagar district police in dozens of dacoity and robbery cases.
