DBA issues new protest schedule against police

OKARA: The District Bar Association (DBA) in its executive committee meeting chaired by DBA president Rai Muhammad Arshad Raza Thursday decided to change ongoing protest schedule against the district police.
According to DBA secretary general Naeem Ullah Chaudhry, the DBA would observe complete strike on Friday and Saturday, and lawyers would appear in courts daily from 8 AM to 11 AM.
He said the information had been displayed on the bar room board, saying that lawyers would also stage sit-in in a protest camp outside the bar canteen on the main road of the complex.
VALUABLES SNATCHED: A woman and her son were deprived of cash and valuables on Sikander Road on Thursday.
Hamza Gulzaar was taking her mother on a motorcycle from home. When they reached near Potato Colony on the Sikander Road, they were intercepted by two motorcyclists who snatched hand bag from her. Reportedly, the bag carried jewellery, cash and a cell phone.
