HARIPUR: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that nation cannot become great by spending on Metro bus projects but by investing in the poor segments of the society to make them prosperous. He was speaking to students and teachers at the University of Haripur here on Monday. The PTI chief said the government was spending funds on the Metro bus rather than investing in the human development.
He said the countries which were far behind us in 1960s had left us behind because of human development.Criticising the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders, Imran Khan said the ruling government had quit its targets and was concentrating on material development. He urged the rulers to revise the investment priorities. The PTI chief said in democracy every person had a right to protest non-violently. He believed the nations that protested against the injustices in the society achieved rights.
Shedding light on the attributes of a leader, Imran Khan said a leader is always willing to take risks and sustain pressures for achieving the goal.
