LAHORE
Government College University Lahore Debating Society (GCUDS) on Wednesday organised a fourth Inter-University Safdar Mir Punjabi Takra 2016 which was won by the team of Punjab University. Muhammad Umar Nizami, President of GCU Punjabi Majlis and GCUDS Incharge Punjabi debates, presided the debates while eminent Punjabi poet Qaim Naqvi was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony. Overall teams from 14 educational institutions took part in the Punjabi debates. The team of GCU as host did not contest for the prizes. However, its orator Abrar Cheema closed the house. The topic of final was that “This House would rent out the educational institutions!” In individual categories.
