NOWSHERA: Former president and Co-chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday formed a two member committee to resolve the differences in the party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and address the grievances of disgruntled workers. The committee comprising former PPP provincial president Senator Sardar Ali Khan and Doctor Qayyum Soomro would hold meetings with the disgruntled party workers and provincial leaders. It will present a detailed report to the party co-chairman.
After getting the task, Senator Sardar Ali Khan made telephone calls to former governor Masood Kausar and ex-federal minister Muzaffar Shah, advocate. He discussed the party matters with the two leaders. He also held separate meetings with the former federal minister Lal Muhammad Khan and convener of the PPP Ideological Group Engineer Tariq Khattak.
Sardar Ali and Tariq Khattak discussed the party matters and differences in the party that lasted for an hour. The sources said Tariq Khattak informed Sardar Ali of his reservations and appreciated his role for resolving the differences in the party. He assured him all out support in this regard.
Meanwhile, talking to reporters after holding a meeting with Sardar Ali Khan, Lal Muhammad Khan conceded that serious differences existed in the party in the province. He said the differences were damaging the party and had demoralised the workers.
