US envoy grieved over park tragedy
US Ambassador David Hale called on Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafiq Rajwana at the Governor's House on Tuesday.
He expressed his heartfelt feelings over the sad incident of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park and discussed different matters of mutual interest extensively.
Governor Punjab said combating terrorism and elimination of corruption are the two main priorities of the present government. He said Pakistani People made tremendous and matchless sacrifices in this regard. He also stated that our Armed Forces and Civilian are giving their precious lives not only for the defence of their own country but also for the peace and security of the whole world.
Governor Punjab said the entire world recognises the sacrifices of Pakistani forces and its people but the best way to acknowledge these contributions is to support the economic activities in Pakistan.
He said present government has put the country's economy on the right track and all-out efforts are being made to ensure economic progress.
