KARACHI: Eight people were killed and three others, including women, sustained injuries when a passenger van caught fire after the vehicle’s CNG cylinder reportedly exploded, officials said late on Sunday night.Initial reports suggest that an 18-seater van with 11 passengers on board was going to Hyderabad from Karachi when it caught fire near Nooriabad, Jamshoro.DIG Motorway AD Khawaja told the media that three passengers had been evacuated from the burning vehicle successfully. He said that a fire tender was busy in extinguishing the blaze. Khawaja said all the injured in the van fire were women. Rescue teams have shifted the injured to hospital.
