LAHORE

JI ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has termed an eye opener the report of offshore properties of Pakistani politicians, bureaucrats ,business men and judges, and said the NAB must look into it.

Commenting on the report, Sirajul Haq said the report included the names of several present and past rulers of the country. He said corruption was the root cause of all problems in the country. Politicians and rulers had ruthlessly plundered national resources and the public money and had transferred the looted wealth abroad unlawfully.

Sirajul Haq said money laundering was a crime under the law and thorough investigation should be held against all those who had build properties and companies in other countries. JI chief said Prime Minister’s sons Husain Nawaz and Hasan Nawaz were reportedly the owners of offshore companies and the NAB should investigate from where they got the money to set up these companies.

He called upon Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to give an explanation regarding the offshore companies of his family members.

US consul: US Consul General Zachary V Harkenrider called on Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Senator Sirajul Haq at Mansoora on Monday and discussed with him matters of bilateral interest.

JI deputy secretary general Muhammad Asghar and JI foreign affairs chief Abdul Ghaffar Aziz were present.

The US diplomat expressed deed grief over the killings in suicide bombing at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park. Sirajul Haq said the killing of dozens of innocent people in the incident was totally against Islamic teachings and human norms. He, however, said supremacy of law, dispensation of justice and elimination of causes of terrorism could ensure an end to the terrorism.

Sirajul Haq said state oppression in some other Muslim countries and the execution of innocent people and arrests of thousands of others peaceful citizens in Bangladesh was bound to have its reaction in society. He said ending of all forms of individual, group and state injustice was essential to win war against terrorism.

JI chief termed the recent international conference on nuclear energy a positive step. He noted that Pakistan had been compelled to achieve nuclear technology only for her defence. He said India was involved in activities harmful to the security of this country.

Sirajul Haq said confessional statement of RAW’s senior agent had caused serious threats to the security of the country and the world community should take note of such things. He pointed out Indian Premier Modi had himself admitted his role in the break up the former East Pakistan and New Delhi was behind the trials of innocent citizens of Bangladesh and was also involved in subversion in Balochistan.

Sarwar: Former governor and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Punjab leader Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has urged the Supreme Court to take suo motu notice on ‘Panama leaks’ and demanded election commission of Pakistan to declare politicians exposed in it disqualified.

Talking to different delegations of PTI workers, Sarwar said Imran Khan had been saying it from the day first that the real motive of the government was looting and plundering of national exchequer and siphon the money off to foreign land side by side.

Corruption and terrorism are two faces of the same coin, he said, adding that there should be a life-term ban on corrupt elements to keep them away from electoral process. He said that corrupt rulers could not befool masses by continuously telling lies and that their politics was being buried for good. Now, he said, Panama scandal had not only exposed the real faces of rulers but also it was the victory of Imran Khan’s principled stance.
