Five die, 10 injured in accident

JHANG: Five people, including four women, were killed while ten others injured in an accident on Jhang-Khushab Road on Sunday.
A family was on way home after visiting the Hazrat Sultan Bahoo shrine at Garh Maharaja when their pick-up collided with a truck near Adda Kot Shakir on Jhang-Khushab Road. As a result, Khurram Shahzad (40), Nasreen Bibi (60), Sadia (30) and two other women died on the spot. Ten other people, including women and children, also received injuries who were shifted to 18-Hazari THQ Hospital and the DHQ hospital where three women were in serious condition.
In another incident, a car overturned while saving a motorcycle coming from opposite direction on Jhang-Khushab Road near Adda Mari Shah Shagira. As a result, Mudassar (22), Wasim (28), Fazila (27) and Tehreem (28) were injured seriously, All the injured were shifted to the DHQ hospital.
