Several held in Mohmand
GHALLANAI: The law-enforcers on Saturday arrested several suspected persons and recovered arms from them during a joint search operation in Mohmand Agency, official sources said.
They said the operation was carried out against the militants, their facilitators and abettors who fled the settled areas and other parts of the tribal region due to actions against them and were hiding in the areas along the boundary with Charsadda district.
They said the personnel of the security forces, police, Frontier Corps, Levies and Khassadar forces took part in the search operation carried out in parts of Pandyalai tehsil of Mohmand Agency and Charsadda district.
They said the law-enforces had cordoned off the area and searched suspicious places and houses in the operation which was started early in the morning and continued till 4pm in the evening. The forces claimed success in the operation and said several suspected persons had been arrested.
