Afghan national booked for raping dancer
PESHAWAR: The police have booked a politically important Afghan national after a woman dancer belonging to his country accused him of raping her sister.
The female dancer (name withheld) told the police in Hayatabad that she along with her sister had gone to a house for a dance party where an Afghan national raped her teenaged sister forcibly.
The two Afghan women later approached the Hayatabad Police Station and lodged a case against the Afghan national. A police official said the accused had been identified as an influential member of the Afghan parliament while one of his brothers is the head of a tribe in Afghanistan.
Raids were conducted at his house to apprehend the accused but he had escaped. However, the police arrested the guard and another person present at the house.
