Landowner kills three people under the influence

BAHAWALPUR: Three people were killed and two others injured by the firing of a drunkard landowner at Karampur Gaddoka in Bahawalnagar’s Mcleod Gunj police limits on Tuesday.
The people were buying daily-use items when Asif under the influence allegedly opened fire on them. As a result, Ghulam Mustafa, Muhammad Irshad and Latif Ahmad were killed on the spot while two others, including Muhammad Riaz, were injured. The injured people were shifted to the Minchinabad THQ Hospital. According to a spokesman for the Bahawalnagar DPO office, the accused had been arrested. According to the deceased’s relatives, the accused always remained under the influence.

BAHAWALPUR: As many as 100 suspects were detained during the search operations by police, CTD and Rangers in Bahawalpur, Rahimyar Khan and Bahawalnagar districts.
In Bahawalpur district, 16 suspects were detained, including Qaimpur UC Chairman Rao Shahid Iqbal, a member of defunct outfit and brother of ASWJ central leader Rao Javed Iqbal.
In Bahawalnagar district, 40 suspects, including 12 POs, were arrested.
In Rahimyar Khan district, 46 suspects, including a number of defunct outfit activists, were arrested.
