Services of outgoing Mardan RPO eulogised
PESHAWAR: The Mardan Police on Tuesday presented salute to Regional Police Officer (RPO) Mohammad Saeed Wazir, who has been transferred and posted as RPO Hazara region.
Two separate functions were held in this regard on Tuesday. Commissioner Mardan, elected members, district police officers of Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda and Swabi, SPs and other officers attended the vents.
They paid glowing tributes to Saeed Wazir for his two and a half years tenure in Mardan during which a number of actions were taken against militants and criminals.He took over charge when Swabi and Charsadda had turned violent.
A contingent of the Mardan police later presented salute to him. Except two, all the RPOs of the province were transferred and given new responsibilities on Monday.According to a notification, the deputy inspector general (DIG) of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Salahuddin has been given additional charge of the additional IG Special Branch.
Besides, RPO Kohat Ishtiaq Marwat has been transferred and posted as Ad IG Investigation, RPO Hazara Akhtar Hayat Gandapur has been posted RPO Kohat and RPO Mardan Mohammad Saeed Wazir has been posted as RPO Hazara.
Similarly, the RPO Bannu Mohammad Tahir was posted RPO Mardan, DIG Enquiries Mohammad Ali Gandapur has been posted as RPO Bannu, RPO Dera Ismail Khan Abdul Ghafoor Afridi has been made DIG Enquiries and District Police Officer Abbottabad Sher Akbar has been posted as RPO Dera Ismail Khan.
