Martyred man, daughter buried in Hafizabad

HAFIZABAD: Muhammad Ayub Butt and his eight-year-old daughter Fatima, who were martyred in the Lahore blast on Sunday, were buried at Qabristan Railway Line here on Monday.

Scores of people attended their funeral prayers including DPO Haroon Joiya and officers of district administration. Muhammad Ayub, resident of Mohallah Hussainpura, Hafizabad, was an employee in the Auqaf Department, Lahore. Ayub, his wife, son, daughter and three relatives had gone to Gulshan Iqbal Park for enjoyment where they martyred.

5 FALL UNCONSCIOUS: Five members of a family fell unconscious after drinking substandard juice.

Shazim bought juice from a market for his family. Later, after drinking the juice, Shazim and four other members of his family, including three sisters, fell unconscious. They were rushed to the DHQ Hospital.

CALL TO UPGRADE SCALE: Members of the Sub-Engineers Association on Monday staged a demonstration and demanded upgradation of their scales.

The protesters led by Syed Sajjad gathered in front of the press club and said that they were working in scale 11 for a long time and their scales were not being upgraded. They demanded the government that scale 16 should be given to sub-engineers.
