2 market owners booked for inadequate security

CHAKWAL: Two market owners and a tenant were booked by Choa Saidan Shah police on charges of inadequate security.
Sub-inspector Munwar Khan booked Raja market owner Farhan Saqlain of village Makhaila and tenant Zahid Yaqoob as there was no security guard and CCTV camera for the market.
The police also registered a case against Malik Khan Market owner Riffat Anwar Khan of Lari Pathan on the same charges.
Meanwhile, Choa Sadian Shah police arrested alleged drug peddler Babar Ali of Mohallah Dheri Choa Saidan Shah and recovered 1,050 gram charas from him.
ROAD CONSTRUCTION: A meeting of the district development committee was held in the Committee Room on Monday. The meeting asked the departments linked in the construction of dual carriageway of Chakwal-Mandra Road to complete their work by April 7. MPA Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Dullah, MPA Mehwish Sultana, DCO Mehmood Jawaid Bhatti, DPO Munir Masood Marth, and officers of other relevant departments attended the meeting. The DCO told the meeting that due to a delay in completion of work on the part of four departments, the road construction was delayed and causing great hardships to people. The officials of the mentioned departments assured the participants that their work would be completed by April 7. MPA Zulfiqar stressed the need of completing other ongoing uplift projects as soon as possible.
