ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz sharif expressed his displeasure regarding the sit-in in front of Parliament in a high level meeting on Monday. He directed Director General Intelligence Bureau (DGIB) to immediately deal with this critical situation.

Sources told The News that PM has decided to convene a high-level meeting in which COAS, Interior Minister, DG ISI and CM Punjab would participate.

Sources also said that on his return from Lahore to Islamabad, Prime Minister directed his helicopter to move towards the sit-in on D Chowk, as he himself wanted to analyse the whole situation.

The helicopter kept hovering over the place of protesters for at least 10 minutes. During this time, the prime minister kept directing intelligence chief and other officers to deal with the situation with iron hand if negotiations failed in next few hours.

The PM has conveyed to the law enforcement agencies that the protesters who have damaged the government property and Mertro bus stations would not be spared at any cost. Action will be taken against them on terrorism charges.

Sources also reveal that during the meeting in Lahore, the prime minister also directed DGIB Aftab Sultan to take rapid action against the terrorist outfits in coordination with Punjab police and other law enforcement agencies.

PM showed his anger over the incomplete report regarding the identity of suicide bomber and he also castigated the officials over the pathetic security situation in the park.
