The proliferation of adulterated milk is rampant throughout Pakistan, according to reports, and my home town of Larkana is no exception. This impure milk poses a serious health risk to unsuspecting customers and the authorities must take effective measures against those selling such milk.
All milk sellers must be registered with the city authorities and the local government must ensure the development of testing centres where milk can be checked for adulterants. The media must also play its role and raise public awareness about the dangers of adulterated milk.
