The Kashmir Committee

To be the chairman of the Kashmir Committee was the choice of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman. The chairman enjoys maximum pay and perks with bountiful of unaccountable funds and a status equivalent to a federal minister.

Unfortunately, for the past two years we have not seen or heard abour any effort employed by the committee in this direction. In fact, it has been observed that the chairman is active only on frivolous issues like protesting the Women Protection bill passed by the Punjab Assembly. Can Kashmir Committee Chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman justify the heavy perks and status he is enjoying for doing nothing for the Kashmir cause?
