Four dacoits held

CHAKWAL: Police arrested four dacoits when they were planning to commit a dacoity here.
On a tip-off, ASI Akhtar Khan with a heavy contingent of police raided the deserted railway station and arrested four alleged dacoits Dabeer Shabbir of Sheikhupura, Shahid Ali of Gujranwala, Afzal Miraj of Sheikhupura and Yousaf Ramzan of Nankana Sahib while their fifth accomplice managed to escape. Police recovered three pistols and a revolver from them. According to police, they were planning to commit a dacoity in the area.
INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION: A six-day industrial exhibition will begin here today. Provincial Minister for Industry Ch Shafiq Anwar will be the chief guest. The district government and the Chakwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry are arranging the exhibition. A number of companies will set up their stalls while colorful programmes will also to be organised during the exhibition.
