HAFIZABAD: Four dacoity incidents were reported here on Sunday.
Three dacoits entered the house of Muhammad Yousaf at Jalalpur and looted Rs 35,000 and 6-tola ornaments. In another incident, thieves stole 18 electric fans from the shop of Ishtiaq Hussain at Mohallah Quaidabad. Thieves took away ornaments and other valuables from the shop of Muhammad Sameer at Sadat Colony. Thieves broke into the shop of Muhammad Saleem at Kaleke and made off with valuables.
ACTION AGAINST COPS WARNED: Gujranwala Range SSP Traffic Asif Zafar Cheema has warned that strict action will be taken against those traffic police officials found guilty of taking bribe.
Addressing a Traffic Darbar at the Police Lines here on Sunday, the SSP asked the traffic police employees to work with honesty and improve traffic system. He directed the traffic police officials to make efforts to maintain smooth flow of traffic in the city. He asked the cops to create awareness about traffic rules among the masses. DSP Traffic Anum-u-Saqib also spoke.
