FAISALABAD: Special Secretary Health Punjab Dr Faisal Zahur Saturday said under the vision of the Punjab Chief Minister the Punjab Health Reforms Roadmap Programme is being implemented to strengthen health sector.
Addressing a function held at the Punjab Medical College auditorium on the occasion of on-campus interviews for the recruitments of the young doctors, he said a comprehensive strategy has been evolved to improve primary health care services.
Dr Faisal said doctors were being provided attractive incentives for serving at Basic Health Units and Rural Health Centers. He said under the new policy, on campus interviews programme had been launched for the recruitment of doctors for their posting at BHUs and RHCs. This programme would not only provide employment opportunities to doctors but also would provide benefits to their future careers.
He said additional 20 marks would be awarded to doctors who served at least two years at BHUs recruited through Punjab Public Service Commission while the doctors who served one year at BHUs would have get additional 15 marks in their interviews at the PPSC. Earlier, PMC principal Prof Dr Alfareed Zafar welcomed the policy of On Campus interview.
