Chinese delegation calls on PTI chief
ISLAMABAD: The Communist Party of China (CPC) International Department delegation, led by Assistant Minister Li Jun, called on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan here on Wednesday.
Dr Shazad Waseem, Adviser to PTI Chairman on Foreign Political Parties Relations, Naeemul Haq, Central Information Secretary, Senator Shibli Faraz and Sun Weidong, Ambassador of China, were also present on the occasion.
Welcoming the delegation, the PTI chairman stressed upon the need to strengthen regular and institutionalised party relations between the PTI and CPC. He said the people of Pakistan and China enjoy all-weather friendship. He appreciated the achievements and development of China in a short span of time through people-friendly policies.
The PTI chairman apprised the delegation of his party’s perspective on the CPEC mentioning that the less developed provinces of Pakistan should also reap the benefits of development.
Li Jun invited the PTI chairman to visit China, which he accepted with thanks. The visit will provide an opportunity to understand the Chinese model of success and interaction with Chinese leaders on matters of mutual interests.
The two sides agreed to strengthen and deepen party-to-party relations and exchanges at the party level.Later, Imran Khan presented the party flag, emblem and souvenirs to the visiting delegation.
