Official arrested for taking bribe

Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Tuesday claimed to have arrested an inspector of Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) on charges of corruption. 

According to Lahore region ACE officials, the accused official was identified as Zeeshan Shahzad. He was arrested red-handed taking Rs 5,000 bribe from one Naeem Ahmed. According to the officials, the accused had already taken Rs 10, 000 from Naeem. 

smuggling case: FIA Tuesday arrested another accused in Rs 130 million foreign currency smuggling case. 

According to FIA sources, investigators arrested accused Waqar Ahmed, a supervisor of a foreign airline in Lahore. He was arrested on the information of the accused earlier arrested by the FIA.

Last month on the information of a secret agency, the FIA had arrested passenger Zeeshan Butt from Allama Iqbal Airport and recovered foreign currency worth Rs 130 million from his possession.
