Dacoits injure two guards in bank heist

FAISALABAD: Three unidentified motorcyclists looted a bank and injured two guards near a college on Sargodha Road on Tuesday.
The dacoits broke into the bank after critically injuring the security guards and made off with Rs 3 million. On information, Sargodha Road police reached the spot and started investigation. Police have sealed the roads but could not arrest the dacoits till the filing of the report.
KILN WORKERS PROTEST: The kiln workers along with their families staged a sit-in near the Labour Department Office and blocked a road for several hours on Tuesday.
They were protesting against the alleged excesses of the kiln owners. They alleged that the owners were not paying Rs 962 per 1,000 raw bricks wage as fixed by the government. Speaking on the occasion, labour leaders Aslam Meraj, Baba Latif Ansari, Naziran Bibi, Baba Arshad and Malik Abdul Majeed said that they would soon stage demonstrations near the DCO offices throughout the province if the Labour Department did not implement the government notification.
