Proud scientists

This refers to the article, ‘People we should be proud of’ (March 14) by Dr A Q Khan. The writer has included politicians, journalists, poets and sportsmen in his article, but, for strange reasons, ignored scientists, who have done so much for the country.

I therefore suggest these scientists for inclusion in the article: Dr Ishfaq Ahmad, Ahmed Ali, Mirza Abdul Baqi Beg, Fayyazuddin, Dr A Q Khan, Samar Mubarakmund, Ghulam Murtaza, Dr Atta-ur-Rahman, Riazuddin, Dr Abdus Salam and Salimuzzaman Siddiqui. The inclusion of this list will make the article much more comprehensive.
