Boom Boom XI
Our cricket team is being criticised for their poor performance in the Asia Cup. Unfortunately, no efforts have been made to produce batsmen like Javed Miandad, Saeed Anwer, Inzamam Ul Haq, etc. Currently the whole team is suffering due to the inconsistency in the batting line-up. Under these circumstances we should not expect good results in the World T20.
But, there are still reasons to be optimistic. T20 matches can be won on the strength of a single batsman provided he carries his bat. Second, our team should remember that they can take all sorts of chances and risks because the nation is mentally prepared for the worst. Third, players like Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Sami and Mohammad Hafeez should remember that it is their last chance to exit from international cricket with dignity. Forth, cricketers should be warned of strict action if they do not perform well.
