Construction of ring road for Fort Munro approved

DERA GHAZI KHAN: The Divisional Development Working Party on Friday approved construction of ring road and a bypass for the hilly resort Fort Munro.
It was approved in a meeting of the DDWP, which was chaired by Commissioner Muhammad Yasrab here on Friday. As many as four schemes for Fort Munro were approved, renovation of a mosque and a park and construction of the ring road and a bypass. As many as Rs 10 million had been allocated for the construction of the park under the banner of the recently established Fort Munro Development Authority while the construction of the ring road would cost over Rs 31 million. Similarly, for the construction of bypass from ring road to Khar, Rs 42 million had been allocated while renovation and rehabilitation of the mosque at Fort Munro would cost Rs 4 million. The DDWP
also approved various other schemes including upgradation of Basic Health Unit at Karam Dad Qureshi with Rs over 76 million. The commissioner directed the officers concerned to get the services of high profile consultants for the mosque project at Fort Munro.
