Country’s oldest woman dies at 125

OKARA: A 125-year-old woman died on Wednesday. Zohra Bibi, widow of Muhammad Din, of Basti Qaimpura, reportedly the oldest woman in the country, left behind more than 250 offspring. She was buried in a local graveyard.

VALUABLES SNATCHED: Robbers snatched valuables from the locals on Wednesday.

Five gunmen intercepted Mehboob Ahmad of 34/1AL near village 15/1L and shot at and injured him when he put up resistance.

Robbers snatched car (LEO-4132) from Ghulam Rasool of Akhtarabad and a cell phone from Nadeem Ahmad.

MAN KILLED: A man was killed and others injured when a truck hit an auto rickshaw on Wednesday.

Near the Okara-Depalpur Highway a truck hit an auto rickshaw, leaving Ramazan dead on the spot and Ali Imran of 54/2L and Nasir Ali of Tandlianwala injured. The injured were rushed to hospital.
