PHC CJ visits blast site in Charsadda
Directs officials to submit probe report in 15 days
CHARSADDA: The Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court (PHC), Mazhar Alam Miankhel, on Wednesday directed the officials concerned to complete an investigation into the suicide attack on the tehsil courts and present him the report within 15 days.
He was speaking at a condolence reference held for those killed in the suicide attack in tehsil courts here. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mardan Range, Saeed Wazir, District Police Officer Charsadda Sohail Khalid, President PHC Bar Association Fida Gul and others were also present on the occasion.
Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel paid tributes to the police, saying the cops laid down their lives and saved several innocent lives. He said the sacrifices rendered by the cops would not go waste. He added that the cops demonstrated extraordinary bravery and prevented the suicide bomber from reaching his target.
The chief justice also directed the provincial government to provide funds for the construction of a Judicial Complex in Charsadda so the development work on the project could be completed on a war footing. Earlier, the chief justice visited the tehsil courts.
