ISLAMABAD: In a bid to emulate the example of using solar energy as source of electricity set in Pakistan’s Parliament building, energy experts from public and private sectors have started visiting the “Saviour of Energy Scarcity” – The Solar Power Plant of the Parliament House.
Since inauguration on 23rd February 2016, the Solar Power Panels Site has attracted immense attention from energy experts and environmentalists across the country. The delegates were informed that under the leadership of Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the project was completed in the shortest span of time with Chinese assistance.
The delegates also received comprehensive briefing about installation of revolutionary “Net-Metering” licence which has enabled Pakistan’s Parliament to feed excess electricity to the national grid.
The installation of solar power plant in aesthetically designed parking of the Parliament’s building is being highly appreciated by energy experts, environmentalists and authorities of different government organizations. The delegates expressed deep admiration for the vision of the Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq who steered the idea of powering Parliament’s building by solar energy and added that both public and private sectors should emulate Parliament’s initiative and generate energy from alternate renewable energy resources.
