‘Strong Pak-India ties to ensure regional peace’
Govt committed to preserve minorities’worship places

CHAKWAL: Evacuee Trust Property Board Chairman Siddiqul Farooq has said that the government is making all-out efforts to preserve worship places of minorities in the country.
He said this while addressing a reception given in the honour of 102 Hindu Yatrees who had reached the Katas Raj to celebrate their religious festival ‘Shivratri’ on Monday. Siddiqul Farooq said that there was a complete freedom to minorities in Pakistan, adding that strong relations between Pakistan and India would ensure peace in the region. He told that a 30-bed residential complex was under construction at Katas Raj to accommodate more Hindu Yatrees. Hindu Yatree Sutesh Kumar thanked the Pakistani government and the district government for making special arrangements for their safety and protection. Additional Secretary Shrines Khalid Ali, DCO Mehmood Javed, Evacuee Board Deputy Secretary Faraz Abbas, Choa Saidan Shah AC Samina Saif and others were also present.
