Ideological crisis

March 08, 2016
This refers to the editorial, ‘Ideological crisis’ (March 4). The stance taken by our clergy and now by the CII itself is a classic example of obscurantism. This mindset is, in fact, the root cause of extremism that eventually translates into terrorism carried out in the name of religion.
The government has chalked out the National Action Plan, yet it has not taken the bull by its horns. What is really required is that seminaries should be radically reformed and monitored.
