Shabqadar suicide attack condemned
PESHAWAR: The suicide attack that claimed 16 lives and left 31 others injured in Shabqadar tehsil in Charsadda district on Monday drew condemnation.
Through a statement issued from the Bacha Khan Markaz, Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali Khan, provincial president Ameer Haider Hoti and party’s secretary general Mian Iftikhar Hussain condemned the incident.
The ANP leaders said the government was not in a mood to implement the National Action Plan despite repeated attacks and terror incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata. They asked the government to take practical steps to dismantle terrorist network and protect the people.
Meanwhile, the prime minister’s advisor Amir Muqam also condemned the attack.Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a passport office in Charsadda, he said such cowardly acts couldn’t deter the nation’s resolve.
He said that terrorists were killing innocent people in the name of Islam. He said the nation and armed forces would continue the fight against terrorism till the elimination of the last terrorist. Amir Muqam expressed grief over the loss of lives in the incident and extended sympathies to the bereaved families.
