Jhagra briefs Balochistan counterpart on Fata situation
PESHAWAR: Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai had a meeting with his counterpart Iqbal Zafar Jhagra at the Governor’s House here on Sunday. He congratulated Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on assuming the office, said an official handout.
Both the governors discussed matters of mutual interests, with particular reference to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) and situation in the region. The KP governor apprised him of the steps being taken to bring peace and stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and federally administered tribal areas (Fata). He highlighted the steps underway for ensuring sustainable peace and stability, particularly in Fata.
Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said tribesmen had rendered great sacrifices for the peace of entire region and now the time had come to take concrete measures to resolve their problems. The governor apprised him about the steps being taken to ensure a lasting peace, dignified return and rehabilitation of displaced persons to native areas. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said socio-economic uplift and wellbeing of the people of Fata would continue to remain a top priority.
