Alleged killer held after 3 months

GUJRANWALA: Satellite Town police on Saturday arrested an accused who was allegedly involved in a triple murder case.
Talking to media here, SP Civil Lines Nadeem Khokhar told that Abdul Sattar of Sanghar got married with Najma Bibi some eight years ago and they had five children. The SP said that the accused along with his accomplices entered the house of his father-in-law Ghulam Haider and demanded money from him, which he refused on Dec 8, 2015. At this, the SP said, the accused persons allegedly opened fire. As a result, Ghulam Haider, his daughter-in-law Robina Kanwal and a guest Mazhar were killed on the spot, he added. The SP said that a special police team raided at Kasur and arrested Abdul Sattar after three months.
PRISONER DIES IN JAIL: A prisoner who was allegedly involved in a narcotics case died in the Central Jail here on Saturday.
Muhammad Nawaz, who was involved in a narcotics case and was also an addict, fainted in the jail. He was rushed to the DHQ Hospital by police but he died.

Dacoits looted Rs 14,000 and two cell phones from Habib at Qila Didar Singh while Ishrat was deprived of Rs 22,000 and a cell phone by dacoits at Ahmed Nagar. Armed men snatched Rs 22,000 and two cell phones from Arham at Tatle Aali while armed men looted Rs 42,000 and two cell phones from Noor at Alipur Chattha. Robbers snatched Rs 9,000 and a cell phone from Nadeem at Civil Lines while dacoits took away applied for motorcycle from Asim at Satellite Town. Bandits snatched Rs 35,000 and a cell phone from Yousaf on Noshera Road. Thieves stole bikes of Mujahid, Aon Abbas, Bobby, Intizar, Mushtaq, Tauseef and Hanif from different parts of the city.
