OKARA: DPO Faisal Rana has said that it is the duty of the police to curb crimes and protect life and property of the masses.
He said this while addressing an open court at Dhulyana village on Wednesday. The DPO asked the people to visit his office in case of any problem or complaint against his staff. He said that strict action would be taken against drug pushers in the district. He told that a crackdown on narcotics sellers had been started in the district. ASP Najeebullah and other police officers were also present.
FIRST-AID: Rescue Safety Officer (RSO) Ayesha Sohail has said that we can save lives of several injured persons if we have knowledge how to provide first-aid.
She said this while giving demonstration of preliminary protection techniques to the journalists here on Wednesday. She rejected the former technique against snake-bite and said that the victim’s wound must not be widened any further nor it should be bound with any cloth or string. Time-being consoling to the victim would be the best strategy till the succor arrived, she added. She said that slowing down pulse rate could be controlled or even revived by putting hard pressure on the chest of the victim. Rescue 1122 incharge Zafar Iqbal asked the people to keep first-aid bag in their vehicle.
