Murder mystery resolved, brother booked

OKARA: The Okara police Tuesday claimed resolving the mystery of a murder and booked the brother of the deceased.
District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Faisal Rana told reporters that last year in Fatehpur village Jahangir Rubera Kharal had transferred his 26 acres land to his son Khizar Hayat, depriving his second son Hassan Raza.
He said Hassan Raza used to demand his share from his brother Khizar Hayat. The DPO said one day Hassan Raza had a quarrel with his cousin Ahmad Yar and Khizar Hayat reached PS Gogera with Hassan Raza to get registered a case against Ahmad Yar, but they could not get a medico-legal report.
The DPO said the same night Hassan Raza was found dead in a field and Khizar nominated Ahmad Yar in the case and Ahmad Yar was arrested but he refused to commit the murder.
The DPO formed am investigating team headed by SP (Investigations) Amir Saud Magsi.
The police after a thorough probe came to know that Ahmad Yar had not killed Hassan Raza, but Khizar Hayat along with his accomplice Zahid Kharal had murdered Hassan over the property issue.
The police discharged the name of Ahmad Yar from the case and indicted Khizar Hayat and Zahid.
GETS DEATH: An accused was sentenced to death by an additional sessions judge in a murder case. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 100,000 on the accused. Shah Nawaz of village 18/4L had killed Abdur Rashid over an old enmity in 2013. The court announced that in case of non-payment, Shah Nawaz would have to serve a term of 6-month in jail.
