Three held with huge foreign currency at airport

GUJRANWALA: The FIA arrested three persons and recovered huge foreign currency from them at the Sialkot International Airport.

On a tip-off, the FIA raided the airport and arrested Irfan Altaf when he was about to leave for Sharjah. The FIA also recovered 180,000 Euros and 580,000 Dirhams from him. During preliminary investigation, the accused told the FIA that his two companions were present at the airport parking lot. To it, the FIA also arrested them. A case has been registered.

MAN RECEIVES BURNS: A man received burns in a cylinder blast at Budda Goraya in Sadr police limits.

Muhammad Asim was busy working in a refrigerator repairing shop when a gas cylinder exploded. Resultantly, Asim received serious burns. He was shifted to the DHQ Hospital. Police have registered a case.

 

Child recovered, accused held

GUJRANWALA: Police recovered a three-year-old kidnapped girl and arrested an accused woman here.

Unidentified people had abducted Zainab, daughter of Abdul Hameed, when she was playing in a street about seven days ago.

On Tuesday, Dhulley police, on a tip-off, raided Varpal Chattha and arrested accused Razia while her husband managed to escape. Police also recovered the abductee from her custody.
