Minister for modern health facilities in small cities

OKARA: Punjab Minister for Population Welfare Begum Zakia Shahnawaz has said that it is the right of the people of small cities to get modern health facilities.
She said this while addressing a workshop as the chief guest titled ‘Bridging the Gap’ arranged by the PMA Okara chapter and Dr Zohra Khanum here on Monday. MNA Ch Riazul Haq Juj, Prof Dr Yousaf Latif and Prof Dr Amna Khanum were the guests of honour in the event. Several other doctors belonging to Multan, Lahore and small cities also attended the workshop. The minister said that the people residing in small cities had also equal right to be treated with modern and latest medical equipment. She lauded doctors, especially junior doctors, who were treating patients in small cities. MNA Ch Riazul Haq promised to provide a plot for the construction of the PMA district chapter building. Various doctors urged junior and young doctors to enhance their expertise for ailing humanity.
23 POWER THIEVES BOOKED: On the report of Haveli Lakha circle SDO, police on Monday booked 23 power thieves.
The SDO raided various areas of his sub-division and got registered cases against 23 power thieves. They included Muhammad Sharif, Khan Muhammad, Ghulam Haidar, Noor Hayat, Asghar Ali and Rubina Bibi.
