Woman dies in accident

DASKA: An old woman was killed in a road accident in the area of city police on Monday.

Reportedly, an unidentified woman was crossing a road near Sohawa when a speeding vehicle hit her, leaving her injured. She was shifted to Civil Hospital where she died.

DRUG PEDDLERS HELD: Sadr police Monday claimed arresting three drug peddlers and recovering drugs from their possession.

Police arrested three alleged drug peddlers and recovered 1,600 gram hashish, 1,150 gram Charas, four litres of liquor and a pistol from them.

CASH SNATCHED: A man was deprived of cash and a cell phone in the area of Motra police on Monday.

Zahid Hussain was heading home when he was intercepted by two robbers who snatched cash and his cellphone.

FAKE CHEQUE: Sadr police Monday booked a man on charges of issuing a fake cheque.

Muhammad Abid had given Rs 424,000 loan to accused Noor Ahmed. When he demanded the amount he was given a cheque that bounced.
