We all want to see a developed and peaceful Pakistan and have the potential to work towards making this dream a reality. But, mostly we waste our energies in criticising each other. We love to criticise different institutions for different reasons. Criticism, if taken positively, is good, but it cannot bring productive results until we realise our own responsibilities towards our country. We need to understand that if we are given some rights, we have some responsibilities too.
This land has given us so much. Our individual acts can develop a collective image of the country in the world. It is time to realise what our responsibilities are as an individual. It is my responsibility to get education, vote responsibly, care for the natural resources of our land, follow rules and regulations, care for and respect each other, be aware of the surrounding, treat religious communities respectfully, highlight the positives of my country etc. However, the level of our responsible attitude is that we neither have patience to follow traffic rules nor have the realisation to switch off unnecessary lights, fans, heater etc. Though, these are small acts, but, collectively they can have a huge impact.
