FAISALABAD: Additional Sessions Judge Arif Hameed Sheikh on Thursday awarded death sentence and Rs 100,000 fine to Rizwan Shahid of Chak 100/JB in a murder case. The prosecution said that the convict had strangled his wife Humaira Naheed.
CONVICTED: Additional Sessions Judge Aftab Ahmad Rai on Thursday awarded over four-year imprisonment and Rs 20,000 fine to Umer Daraz Khan in a narcotics case. The prosecution said that People’s Colony patrolling police team had arrested the convict when he was selling narcotics on Ahsan Yousaf Road some months ago. It said that police had also recovered 1.3kg charas from him.
