Four dacoits caught by villagers

HAFIZABAD: Villagers caught four dacoits when they were trying to flee at Wachoke village.
Four dacoits entered the house of Attiq and tried to loot valuables. However, on hue and cry of the family, villagers gathered outside the house. On seeing this, the dacoits opened fire, the villagers also retaliated. As a result, one dacoit was injured. Later, villagers caught all the dacoits and handed them over to Kassoke police. Later, the dacoits were identified as Faisal, Ghulam Mustafa, Imran and Haroon. The police also recovered illicit arms from the dacoits.
Alleged negligence of line superintendent
Wapda assistant lineman injured

HAFIZABAD: A Wapda assistant lineman was injured when he received electric shock due to the alleged negligence of a line superintendent at Thattha Kalian village on Wednesday.
According to details, line superintendent Ashfaq asked assistant lineman Gulfam for some repair work on an electric pole. When Gulfam started work, he suddenly received electric shock from 11,000KV. As a result, he fell down and sustained injuries. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
Later, relatives of Gulfam protested against the alleged negligence of the line superintendent and demanded registration of a case against him. Later, a Gepco team reached Hafizabad and launched an inquiry into the incident. When contacted, the line superintendent claimed that the allegation of negligence was baseless.
