Benazir murder case: ATC records FIA official’s statement

RAWALPINDI: The anti-terrorism court on Wednesday recorded the statement of an FIA official in Benazir murder case. As the hearing started, FIA Assistant Director Shoaib Ahmed, who was a member of the joint investigation team which probed the case, recorded his statement.Meanwhile, the counsels of former CPO Saud Aziz and accused Aitzaz Shah cross-examined the witness.FIA prosecutor Ch Azhar did not appear before the court citing security concerns.ATC judge Rai Ayub Marth after recording the statement and cross-questioning, adjourned the hearing until February 29.
