Electoral reforms a must to make elections acceptable to all parties: Siraj
LAHORE:Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Siraj-ul-Haq expressed concern that the people are seriously suffering from anarchy and chaos since the entire political and economic system in the country faced uncertainty and devastation.
PTI and PDM governments completely failed to fulfill the promises made to the people, and as the pawns of global establishment they kept pushing the western masters’ agenda to maintain their slavery, he said while addressing the oath-taking ceremony of newly-elected ameer of JI Gujrat Chaudhry Ansar Dhol, said a JI spokesman from Mansoora on Sunday.
Siraj-ul-Haq said unless prevailing capitalist system of replaced by Islamic system based on justice and equality, our country and people could not be freed from the slavery of colonial powers and their agents. Due to refraining from political dialogue for a long time, all the political parties are facing a serious deadlock. He warned that carrying out electoral reforms are vitally necessary to make the upcoming elections equally acceptable to all the political parties. He lamented that all the political parties refrained from electoral reforms despite repeated promises. He said all the political parties must evolve a plan of action and enact necessary legislation to make our security institutions implement their repeated promises to remain neutral in politics.
Siraj-ul-Haq said the rulers kept telling the nation that country faced really bad conditions, but never said who is responsible for these bad conditions.
