PESHAWAR: The employees of Frontier Printers Association Monday set up a protest camp against the government’s newly introduced “tender policy” and asked the rulers to reverse its decision.
The protest camp was attended by Cantonment Board vice-chairman Waris Khan, social worker Ihtesham Khan, a member of the action committee, Latif Hussain, Shehryar Khan, Shakil Qureshi and others.
The speakers said printing industry was suffering financial losses due to the flawed policies of Khyber Textbook Board.
They said there was no tax on books across the country but the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led provincial government had taxed the books.
