Atif Bajwa elected PBC chief

Karachi: Atif Aslam Bajwa, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank Alfalah, was elected as Chairman of the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) at the 54th meeting of the PBC board, a statement said on Monday.
The statement said the newly-elected board also elected Muhammad Ali Tabba, CEO of Lucky Cement, as Vice Chairman PBC. The new PBC board, which was elected earlier this month by the membership, reiterated its commitment to working with other stakeholders, including the government, to improve the business environment in the country, it added. The board also appreciated the services of the outgoing board chaired by Bashir Ali Mohammad, Chairman Gul Ahmed.
