Hailing from Canada, multitalented Adeel Chaudhry is the first one in his family with a career in media. He is a singer-songwriter, model and actor, who has also done stints in Bollywood. His career began when he did his first-ever play titled ‘Kukar’. This opened the door of opportunities for the actor and he made his television debut with serial ‘Yeh Zindagi Hai’ in 2008.
Soon after, the actor decided to delve into music and he got signed to a renowned Indian music label. He sang the infamous ‘Move your body’ for the movie ‘Kismat Konnection’. Adeel briefly worked in a Bollywood film called ‘Rhythm’, which was released in late 2016. The actor and singer rose to fame especially after appearing opposite Shah Rukh Khan in a TV commercial in 2015.
In Pakistan, the dapper hero has starred alongside Komal Aziz in ‘Bharosa Pyar Tera’ which became a highly rated drama during its run. Owing to his talent, the actor has appeared as a leading artist in serials like ‘Dharkan’, ‘Hiddat’, ‘Munafiq’, ‘Bandhay Aik Dour Se’, ‘Uraan’ and ‘Main Agar Chup Hoon’ while simultaneously making music. You! What do you like most about your job?
I think acting is special in so many ways, there’s always a window of opportunities to dwell in. It’s not just ‘playing a character’ and has a lot more depth to it. It’s also nice to know that after I’ve spent a few months on a drama, I can book a holiday and fly out for a few weeks to relax, reflect and have some personal time to myself.
You! Which project do you think is your claim to fame:
I would say ‘Bharosa Pyar Tera’.
You! A project that you hold really close to your heart:
‘Munafiq’ mainly because I played the opposite to what I normally play in dramas. It was exciting to see me progress in the role and stretch my acting skills to such an extent.
You! Do you have any hidden talent?
I have many hidden talents, but hey that’s why they are hidden right.
You! Singing or acting – your preference?
I enjoy both thoroughly. However, I have been acting more for the last few years. But keep your ears to the ground, you might be in for a little surprise.

Fixing someone’s teeth, helping and prescribing medication to the sick or helping someone with hair growth (Cosmetic surgeon).

I love my hair, unfortunately started losing a bit now since I’ve moved to Karachi.

Candlelit dinner by the beach with lots of petals, Italian dinner and some violin playing.

My book and my phone. I would add 5 more things though. Haha!

Italian food, it makes me happy.
You! How do you spend your Sundays?
I go to the gym, come back and watch TV etc. Pretty much like majority of people.
You! Your favourite hangout:
Depends on my mood, if I’m feeling energetic the gym of course! If I’m feeling hungry, Italian restaurant and if I’m feeling artistic, the recording studio.
You! How do you unwind?
You can never ever go wrong with a spa day.
You! What advice do you have for young artists coming into the field?
The world is your oyster. Hard work always pays off. Don’t be disheartened on criticism. Don’t forget the 3 C’s; Stay cool, consistent and collective.
